If your child has started to show an interest in using the potty try to encourage them and begin training as soon as possible.
One of the things you cannot do in this for a child's to urinate or have a bowel movement. One of the things you can do is encourage her to practice. A good up is to set your child on the potty for three to five minutes every hour two, you can control or Sean urinates the eighth. You practice, they will begin to understand.
Don't expect a miracle at first, if your child's begins to protest strongly just work with them as they can have good days and bad days. If this continues it may not be the right time to begin training.
Your child can learn from others. Children are always very curious and often interested in their family's activities. If you have older children let you toddler watch them use toilet, if you have older sisters brothers or even parents. They can see these people use the toilet and this can make your toddler want do the same.
Having easy access to the potty will greatly increase the chances of your child using it. Have to or three potties one in the playroom, the bathroom and maybe in the TV room this will encourage your child to use it more in its visible.
Always expect some fooling around from your toddler, always make sure if you have a body. They sit on training before standing. This will help minimize spray and dribble on the floor.
A good tip to prevent your child from locking themselves in the bathroom is to put a towel over the top of the door obviously the children will not be able to reach this and will the prevent the door from locking.
