There was a seven year gap between my second and third children. We had wanted children closer in age however things didn’t turn out that way. When I found out I was pregnant finally I started cruising the baby departments right away and was shocked at the new developments in technology with regards to infant equipment available.
It was quite overwhelming to have all those different options available and I wasn’t quite sure who to ask for help. After leaving the first department store, I decided to do what I normally do when I am looking into new products, I turned to the internet for a product compare and to read the reviews. It seems like a good strategy for me so far!
I always have an eye out for good deals, but I am also careful that I am going to get a working product for that good deal too. When it came to baby monitoring systems, I knew there was the potential to get a very bad device for the lowest price. Being able to hear my baby clearly at any time I needed to was top priority in a device. There are many products out there with digital communications, but the summer infant monitor that caught my eye would automatically scan for free communication channels and ensure my privacy.
I had intended to get just a monitor with great sound, but then I came across the video baby monitors. They were such a fantastic idea. I was remembering to my second child and the times when I would put him down to nap, then when I got nervous I would walk into his room to check on him, and because he was a light sleeper, I would invariably wake him up and regret having gone in there to check! With a video monitor I would be able to peek at the new baby without worrying about waking the baby.
You can even use the parent unit to remotely pan and scan the room. This is fantastic if you have kids that like to roam around the crib, or just general parental worries about the safety of your child’s room. The one touch button for the black and white video at night is good because it cuts down on your extra efforts when you are at your most tired.
Being able to push a button and look at the screen and be assured that everything is just fine is worth the price.
I do like to buy this as gifts for those who will soon be blessed with more kids, and with its great reception and easy travel portability I am overall very pleased with my purchase.
