Summary: An oversized diaper bag is really useful, but there are a couple of things you have to keep in mind before you make that purchase.
All us parents know how much stuff we need for our babies, now if you happen to have twins you're going to need as big a diaper bag as you can get. Some important necessities you'll need to keep in mind, you'll want something that's both functional in terms of style and also comes with plenty of room, as you'll have double the diapers and all the other supplies that go with it.
A friend of mine has twins and in the beginning bought a backpack style diaper bag, but this turned out to be just to small and she was unable to fit everything in for longer outings. As she said "It's amazing the amount of things you need to take with you when you have twins"
One of the issues with and oversized bag it of course the size, one tip is if your travelling by car to a store bring the big bag - but also bring a smaller one to transfer a smaller amount into. You can always go back to the car and fill it up again if needed.
I suggest having two sizes bags, one for your bigger trips out when you really need a lot of everything and then something much smaller for quick runs to the store.
As my friend said when I was asking for some tips by 7-8 months, you can get by with much less so you can get away with the smaller bag.
Here's a quick checklist of the kind of things you'll need to bring on your trips
2 bottles
6 diapers
Wipes
Snacks
Small toys
2 extra outfits
4 bibs
2 sippy cups
Make sure the bag opens wide at the top so that you can easily see all the contents. You also not looking for a suitcase so if your ordering online try get the measurements beforehand.
