The World Health Organization says that a cesarean section rate of 15% is normal.  The U.S. Rate is approximately 30%, double the WHO figures.  Why the difference?  American women are more likely to choose an elective c-section as a matter of convenience.

Delivery of a baby by caesarean section is a major surgical procedure and recovery is not immediate.  When you sit in a tub of water, all the germs that you have on your body are now floating around in that water.  If you have had a c-section and the wound is not entirely closed, you could be setting yourself up for a massive infection.
