Today we are going to have a look at the Davinci Kalani 3 Drawer Baby Changer
Okay this particular changer features three draws that should be deep enough for storage of some of your babies clothing. Ideally the type of coding you want in the stores are what you will change your baby into during the daytime or nighttime. You wouldn’t really want to store any clothes that they wear for special occasions the idea of having the changing station on top is so it makes it easier to access diapers and any clothes that you need to access quickly once your baby is resting on the changing station.
The station itself is deep and comes with a 1″ waterproof foam changing pad and a safety strap. I’m really not sure how this safety strap works because I was unable to find any reviews of people that have previously purchased this product. The furniture is made from sustainable pine and wood composite and combs in a variety of cherry, ebony, oak, espresso and white.
It’s been designed to save space and to also save you bending on the ground while trying to change your little one. If you have ever used a changing mat on the ground you will find after a certain period of time that your back can become strained and sore. Although at the time it may seem quick and easy to have a cheap changing mat under your babies cot and simply pull out when needed (as I have personally done) it can be quite painful if you have to bend over for any long period of time. It just makes so much sense that you bring the baby to your height and because of this safety bars on the side of the changer you can be assured that there will be a bit safer whilst resting on this.
How Easy Is It To Setup
This is a good question because this is a flat pack and will require some assembly. You do however, get instructions, but it has been reported on some websites that these are not the most amazing instructions on how to assemble something you have ever received in your life. But, don’t let that put you off if you are considering purchasing. You will require probably two people to pull this together – it can of course be done with one but will just take a little bit longer. You need to make sure that you have time to get this assemble. The last thing you want is to be distracted from the time you take this out of the box until you have fully completed putting it together.
As with many items that get reasonable use you may have to tighten up screws every once in a while. To be honest this should not be a major problem and is probably something that many people end up doing in the long run of anything that they use. If you ride a bicycle you need to tighten things after a certain period of time. If you drive a car you need to get maintenance – so I personally do not see any problems with having to occasionally made sure that all the screws are fixed and tightened properly because it is being used quite regularly.

When I was looking at the photographs of the baby changer I was kind of wondering if anyone would have issues with the changing station itself. I came across one review where a customer said that their child sometimes sticks in their arms out the sites as the wriggle around when being changed. This code potentially be a safety problem if you lift up your child when their arm or leg slips out through the gap between the bars and the top of the changing table. I’m not sure this is a major issue, it just something that you need to be aware of like any parent if you do this to your baby make sure that all arms and legs are in-side.
What About The Features
It’s not really rocket science here to be honest the changer comes with 3 draws that should have ample enough room for storing your baby changing needs and clothing. It comes with a waterproof foam changing pad, which can easily be cleaned afterwards. As you said already it has a safety strap but I’m really not sure if this is for changing pad or for your baby. It’s a little bit puzzling that they mentioned this in their features but don’t really explain more.
It’s made from sustainable pine and wood composite – Now I did try to find out what is meant by sustainable pine but I’m not an expert on this type of thing and it seems as if simply typing into Google what is sustainable pine did not work either. The only thing we have to go by here is what consumers who have already purchased the products they. Many of them are quite happy with material that this is made from although one or two did complain that it can scratch quite easy especially if you are wearing a wedding ring and trying to pick up your baby at the same time. One person complained that this had happened a couple of times, which is something I’m sure happens many of us no matter what type of furniture we have in our homes.

What Do We Like
This is a personal point of view but I particularly like the look of his furniture they have a range of other furniture available and I could just imagine a beautifully decorated nursery which pine furniture.
I also like the idea of having the changing station at a height that is much easier for a parent to change your baby at. I personally tried this a number of times underground using a cheap changing mat and believe me I can be quite awkward at times especially if you had boys. If you have a baby boy you realize that sometimes they can decide to wee without any warning. I think reflects actions work much quicker if you are standing up as opposed to needing down and bending over. For this reason I love the fact that the change of station is at a height that is much easier to move quickly.
What We Are Not Sure About
The only thing that we were not 100% satisfied with doing our research was assembling the product. Like lots of things in life many people will find this very easy and others may find it extremely frustrating and difficult. To keep things with any furniture like this that you buy online is to make sure that you have the understanding of how to assemble and pulled it together. If you are unsure how to do this try and get some help from somebody who has done this many times before. I recently seen a service in my hometown that offer to assemble flat pack furniture like this for a fee to call the home and do this. Depending on what you purchase and how much you pay for it because sometimes work out better to pay somebody to assemble it in you are unsure.
Overall the many reviews that we read the majority of people found assembling quite easy. Some did complain of not being able to follow the instructions but we cannot honestly tell you whether the instructions are really good or just adequate because this comes down to the person putting the unit together.
