How Early in a Pregnancy Can a Blood Test be a Positive

Taking the test when you think that it is very likely for you to be pregnant is significant as it is the major thing that tells you will be having a baby. You may not know when to take the test so it could provide you with the correct answer when it comes to whether you are pregnant or not.

You should know that a specific time for taking a test is not common to all the tests as it depends on what kind of test you take. There are various types of pregnancy tests, based on two ways of showing if you carry a baby or not: those that analyze you’re the urine and those that analyze the blood.  

The hormone levels of your organism suffer major changes when you prepare for the baby’s development. As a consequence, the tests look for certain hormones that characterize a pregnant woman – the hCG hormone, 'human chorionic gonadotropin', only exists in pregnant woman’s body.

When it comes to the blood pregnancy tests they can tell whether you are pregnant or not after a week after the ovulation, while the urine tests usually detect the hormone after two weeks. If you want to do the test at home then you will surely use the urine test, which is not expensive and offer the feeling of privacy. This is why most of the women choose to take this test instead of the blood test.

However, some opt for the second option, the blood test, especially when they try to have a baby and any sign makes them think they may be pregnant. Anyway, whether you do one test or another first, after the urine test you must visit your doctor if the test’s result is positive.

He will consult you and do the blood test to confirm or infirm the result that your test provided. The urine tests are 90% accurate if they are used properly. You should do the test again or visit the doctor if you feel you are pregnant but the result was negative as you can never know for sure.
