A woman is usually very surprised by the changes that take place in her body when she becomes pregnant. No matter how much you read about the modifications that your body suffers you still feel like something is wrong with you and you don’t know exactly how to react to your organism new states and needs.

Some women are very worried when they have cramps on their early pregnancy and they get the wrong idea that this indicates that their pregnancy is a problematic one. You should know that early cramps during your pregnancy are not necessarily a sign for a difficult pregnancy.

As a matter of fact, having cramps from the beginning of your pregnancy is a normal thing as many women have the same symptoms. Your uterus is getting ready for the baby to grow early and this is no reason for you to worry. To some women it happens to feel the cramps after just one week after they ovulate because the egg gets attached to the uterus. It is very likely for you to have cramps in the first weeks so you don’t have to worry about that. This is very normal and usually women get tricked as they think their periods are about to start and that is the reason for the cramps.

It is not unusual for the uterus to start getting ready for the baby from the beginning of the pregnancy. This is why the majority of the women have cramps shortly after they find out that they are pregnant or even before finding out.

Early cramps are not usually a reason for you to worry; however you should visit a doctor when the cramps you feel are more painful and intense than they should be and you can’t handle the pain. You should also go to see a doctor if you suffer from heavy bleeding; it is normal to bleed and have cramps in the early pregnancy as long as they are not too intense.

In general, the cramps start very early, during the first weeks of pregnancy. Whether they occur a few days after the egg was fertilized or a little later, when the uterus starts to expand, there is no need for you to worry. As long as the cramps are normal and not very severe they are not a reason for you to think about miscarriage.
