Of course you can go with the standard floral bouquet but if you want something different we have some great ideas for baby shower centerpieces. One of the best I’ve seen is a diaper cake which can be made either from cloth or disposable diapers. It takes fifty or more diapers. It can be a bit pricey but the results are great and you have an additional useful gift for the new mom. You can trim these cakes with ribbons and artificial or real flowers.
Another useful centerpiece idea is to make a bouquet of baby sock roses. Put a dozen in a vase with real or artificial greenery. You might want to try making a bunch of baby washcloth lollipops. You could cut the top off of a large Styrofoam ball and stick the lollipops into it. Place in a pretty bowl and cover the Styrofoam with Easter grass. If this shower you are planning is to welcome a friend’s baby boy, get a large toy dump truck and fill with baby items like a hair brush, rattles, socks, wash cloths, toiletries, socks, booties and undershirts, etc.
Have each guest write a child care tip on an index card (even if they have no kids) and sign it. Put all of the cards in a pretty basket adorned with ribbons. What a cool centerpiece! Of course a bouquet real flowers is always acceptable.

As you can see, a centerpiece for a baby shower does not have to be a traditional floral bouquet or food display. It can be anything that fits on the table and pertains to the baby and or his parents.
