Boy Baby Shower Centerpieces

Summary: If your friend is expecting a baby boy and you are planning a baby shower you will be looking for boy baby shower centerpieces. One really cool idea would be to use a three tiered diaper cake trimmed with blue ribbons. Place toiletries, rattles, socks, etc. behind the ribbon and use a baby Mickey or Pooh bear as a topper. Other topper ideas could be a bear dressed in camo or a soft toy car.
Place the decorated diaper cake on the gift table or use it as a centerpiece on the table where the drinks and food are set up. Some of the coolest shower centerpieces are when you make your baby shower centerpiece yourself instead of buying one.
Your centerpiece should be the item that dictates all of your other shower decorations. You wouldn’t use a baby Mickey cake and then decorate using Pooh items.
Get a cute decorative box and fill it with popped popcorn and then insert some adorable feet shaped lollipops. The lollipops can later be given out as favors. Your shower guests will love it. Make or purchase a feet shaped cake and decorate the room with feet cut from various colored paper.
This is a unique centerpiece idea. Make several sock roses in blue and yellow and place them in a tin pail or a nice vase. Tie a white ribbon bow around the stem of each rose. Give the centerpiece to the new mom, she can keep them as is or use them for the baby.
This one we used for my niece’s baby shower. We got a red wagon and used it to stack the gifts in. We tied blue balloons to the handles and to the axles. My cousin made a red wagon cake and put cookies decorated to look like gift boxes in the bed of the wagon. The real wagon was placed on the gift table.
Make or purchase a cookie bouquet with blue and white icing and use it as a centerpiece on the food table. Depending on the number of guests you may need two bouquets. When the shower is over the cookies become your shower favors. Fruit bouquets are also very popular for centerpieces.
Cowboy themes are also common for boy baby showers. An interesting centerpiece idea is to use a cowboy boot filled with real or artificial flowers to match your color theme. Make any games you play relate to your overall theme and the mood you want to set for the shower.
Shop around and get the best possible deal on your party supplies such as decorations and tableware. Don’t forget to get some really cool “it’s a boy” decorations. The best boy shower centerpiece I ever saw was a “Moses basket” filled with a variety of items including a baby monitor, sleepers, blanket and a children’s bible. The mom loved it and so did the assembled friends and family.
The centerpiece is the first thing the guest will notice when they come in, so it needs to be special.
If you think you can’t make shower centerpieces you can go to a party store or florist and tell them what you want. They will show you some ideas, pictures and samples of what they can offer. It will cost you but if you figured out the cost of the items in your centerpiece and the time you would need to put in, you may decide to have it made.
