Baby Disney Shower Decorations

If your sister is planning on decorating her baby’s room with a Pooh, or other Disney theme you might want to throw a baby shower using Disney shower decorations. It is fairly easy to locate decorations for a Pooh baby shower, as well as other party supplies. You can even get a Pooh cake pan.
If you know the sex of the baby it will make the job of decorating the baby’s room, and the shower decorations much easier. For instance, if the baby is a girl, you can choose a princess baby shower theme which wouldn’t work for a boy baby.
Once you have decided which Disney theme you are going to use, you can begin to plan your shower and choose the decorations, menu and invitations. You will want to plan a table centerpiece and a gift table.
Of course you will want the invitations, wall decorations, tableware, centerpiece and floors to fit the Disney baby theme. When we had a Disney baby shower for my niece we bought a bunch of small stuffed Disney babies as favors for each guest. The extra animals were given to the new mom for the nursery. I made a diaper cake for the main table and topped it with small Pooh and Tigger figurines. It was so cute.
One of our cousins took a lot of pictures and made a delightful scrapbook to be given to the parents on the day of the baby’s birth.
You may want to get some CD’s with Disney music and play them during the shower. “It’s a Small World” is a perrenial favorite. If someone asks for a gift suggestion, I’d suggest the book “Hundred Acre Wood” by A.A. Milne which was where Pooh was introduced to the world.
When you shop for party supplies make a list, you don’t want to set up the shower and find out that there are no plates, napkins, etc. Don’t forget to get bright balloons either solid pink and blue or Disney themed helium balloons.
If young children will be present at the shower stick to the theme and show Disney movies for them. Maybe pay a teenage relative to entertain the kids during the shower. It will make for a better time for adults.
Will you serve just cake and drinks or will there be a food table laden with finger foods? If there will be a lot of food you may want to arrange for someone to light the chafing dishes and arrange the food to encourage a smooth traffic flow (the butter near the rolls, the cups with the drinks, etc.).
When it is time for the soon to be new mother to open her gifts, have someone sit with her and write down what each gift is and who gave it. That will make it easier for her to tell Great Aunt Sadie “thanks for the lovely crocheted blanket”. The same person should also collect the gift receipts and put the givers name on it. In case there are duplicates or it is a frilly pink dress and the baby is a boy.
We would suggest that you purchase thank you cards that match you baby Disney shower decorations.
