Looking for a discount stroller? Stop looking in the baby store

If you are seriously looking to save money, don’t look at a strictly baby store for a discount stroller. You would have to be really lucky to find it there the cheapest. Baby stores are already feeling economic pressure from discount department stores that sell baby items cheaper. Cheap strollers are out there, if you know where to look.

Second hand stores are the easiest place to find discounted strollers. Some are barely used, but some will be well used. Push the stroller around the store to see how it maneuvers and check the condition of all the parts. Don’t buy a stroller that has cracked or missing parts. Also, check to make sure the stroller wasn’t involved in a recall.

If you want a stroller without buying it second hand, shop at the large chain discount stores. Often, you can get a stroller for much less than at the baby stores. It will be cheaper, but you may be getting an off brand. They do carry name brand strollers, so you can find a discount stroller with a name you trust. Your selection of fabrics and models will be much more limited. If you have something specific in mind, you may have better luck at a baby store.
