Baby change tables

Baby change tables – Help you change your child in comfort

As any parent knows, diaper changing time can be awkward, messy and uncomfortable for both parents and babies. Baby change tables can remedy these issues. Bending over to change a baby’s diaper in the crib or while the baby is lying on the floor can put quite a strain on a parent’s back. This is where a baby change table comes in handy. A changing table can also come in handy when dressing a baby. While a baby is still young enough to bathe in an infant tub, the tub can be placed on top of the changing table. This is a good idea since all of a baby’s bath supplies can be kept organized on a changing table.

The most important consideration in choosing a changing table is safety. Look for a changing table with a restraining strap as an extra precaution to keep a baby from accidentally falling off the table when it rolls over or is squirming around. Of course a parent should never take their eyes off of the baby while on the changing table even if a restraining strap is being used. Make sure all necessary supplies are within arm’s reach, thus removing the temptation to leave the baby unsupervised on the table in order to retrieve supplies from across the room.

Some changing tables can be found for as little as $50.00 or less at discount stores. But a more common price would be $150.00-$200.00. Then there are some that cost upwards of $500.00. Look for changing tables at Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Walmart, Target, Baby Center, Baby Universe, JC Penney, Nursery Depot, Sears, The Baby Outlet, etc. Most of these stores also have websites, so you can order online.
